FAQs

Students:

• Choose the "CBC-WIFI" network
• Do NOT choose the guest Wifi (It is slower and can't connect to NetPrint nor full functionality of Canvas, etc.).
• Username: CBC student email username only
  • FirstInitialLastName (e.g. rsmith2)
  • You do NOT need to add the full email address @students.columbiabasin.edu
• Password: student email password (same as the password for Canvas)

Can't Connect to WIFI? EXPIRED PASSWORD

Students who can't login to WIFI usually have expired email passwords that need to be changed. 

You can either change it by a) logging into your student email at https://www.outlook.com/students.columbiabasin.edu

or b) logging on a CBC computer with your existing password and you will be prompted to change it

• New password needs to be complex enough:
  • at least 8 digits
  • must have a capital letter
  • must have a number
  • must have a special character
  • must NOT be the same as any previously used password
  • must NOT include any part of your name
• Write down your new password!!!
• This is your new password for email, CBC-Wifi, NetPrint, and Canvas!!!

CBC Employees:

• Connect to "CBC-WIFI" network
• Use your network username and password

Guest WiFi (intended for guests):

• Connect to "CBC-Guest" network
• Follow prompts on CBC Guest WiFi page
• Guest WiFi connections are valid for 12 hours
