How do I cite an online article with an article number but no page numbers using APA 7?

Answer

See an example on the official APA website:

https://apastyle.apa.org/style-grammar-guidelines/references/examples/journal-article-references#2=

Note:

1. Use the Article number in place of the page numbers. Capitalize the A in Article.

2. If there is no issue number, then don't include it.

3. Sometimes the volume number may be the same as the year.

...Imaginary Online Journal, 2023, Article 8382034. https://doi.org/....

4. If the article has a PDF that list page number 1-9, do not include it in the reference entry, but you may use the page number(s) in your in-text citations if you decide to use a direct quote.
