How can I read the Tri-City Herald?

What can I do to get the local news online?

Answer

The Mid-Columbia (Kennewick, Pasco, West Richland) and Richland Public libraries have online access to the Tri-City Herald for their patrons. CBC students and faculty are able to use both regardless of residence  - see https://columbiabasin.libanswers.com/faq/298944 for details on registration. The link to the newspapers through Richland is here http://infoweb.newsbank.com/signin/RichlandPublicLibrary and at Mid-Columbia https://infoweb.newsbank.com/signin/MidColumbiaLibrary/AWNB.
Once you have logged in you will see a big blue 'Tri-City Herald' button if you scroll down - click it and then choose any of the sources with 'current' listed in the date range (image format looks like a regular newspaper!).
